Of the 2 Conservative held seats here the party has a majority in 1, namely Hexham while in Stockton South there is a plurality for Independents of various kinds.

Of the 25 Labour held seats, the party has a majority in 19 and a plurality in another 2 seats. In 1 seat (NW Durham) they have joint plurality with Independents.  Of the remaining 3 seats, the LDs have a majority in 2 (City of Durham; Wansbeck) and a plurality in 1 (Blyth Valley)
Labour has 100% representation in 1 seat, namely Washington & Sunderland West

Of the 2 LD held seats, the LDs have a joint plurality in Berwick upon Tweed with the Conservatives while in Redcar there is a Labour majority

Obviously there will be some changes in this region in May
